Your Tasks

• Supporting the operation of our Cloudera Hadoop-based DataLake
• Integrating new data sources into our DataLake for permanent or temporary use by Data Scientists using the Hadoop EcoSystem (Sqoop, Hive, Impala)
• Supporting Data Scientists in the implementation and optimisation of complex machine learning programs
• Coordinating the international Data Engineer Community within the scope of our BI Governance as well as collaborating on further data science projects

Your Profile

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or similar
• Extensive knowledge of data processing and development environments in the Hadoop ecosystem (Sqoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, etc.)
• Good programming skills (Python, R, Scala, Spark)
• Knowledge of classic data warehouse operation (SAP BW or Oracle Exadata) as well as knowledge of SAP DataHub and Alteryx is advantageous
• An affinity for new technologies in the big data environment and fluency in English
