ID: 6027

We are looking for a full-time, permanent software developer (m/f/d) for laboratory software as soon as possible to build up a new agile development team within KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Lower Saxony.

As one of the first developers (m/f/d) in a new Scrum team, you will have the opportunity to design and implement a new software solution for digitizing business-critical breeding and laboratory processes alongside an experienced product owner and in close cooperation with our technical experts. The application is the central starting point for providing IT support for the latest approaches in plant breeding and molecular biology at various international KWS locations in the future.

Your new responsibilities:

  • You are convinced that an understanding of the technical interrelationships is a basic prerequisite for efficient and effective software development.
  • In workshops, you will analyze the business domain together with the business experts. Based on this, you will design and implement suitable software solutions based on Domain-Driven Design, .NET and web technologies in close cooperation with the users.
  • In doing so, you will develop on both the front-end and the back-end. By applying modern DevOps techniques and by supporting our existing DevOps experts in the other project teams, they ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the software.

Contribute your competencies:

  • University degree in computer science or comparable qualification
  • Practical experience in professional software development (e.g. dependency injection, mocking, TDD, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Very good C# and ASP .Net Core knowledge
  • Good knowledge of web technologies (CSS, HTML5, JavaScript)
  • Confident handling of GIT, Windows, Linux and relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Good knowledge of using Azure DevOps, Jira or GitLab.
  • You already have practical experience with vertically sliced systems (e.g. SCS, microservices) and the associated challenges
  • Experience with domain-driven design is a plus
  • Knowledge of .NET Blazor, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable
  • Knowledge of agile software development (e.g. SCRUM)
  • Very good knowledge of German as well as good English skills are required

That is our offer to you:

  • In our teams, which operate according to SCRUM, we work together and in short sprints - this creates dynamism and freedom for a lot of personal responsibility.
  • As a family-run company, we live a culture with the values of team spirit, closeness and trust, independence and foresight.
  • True to the motto "Make yourself grow!", we promote individual professional and personal development.
  • As a basis, we offer excellent work equipment (ergonomic workstations, multiple monitors, air conditioning), a fully subsidized canteen and sufficient free parking at the site.
  • We create the appropriate framework conditions for you: Capital-forming benefits, company pension plan, Christmas and vacation bonus, childcare allowance, job bike.

Advance your career and grow with KWS in your tasks! We look forward to receiving your digital application (cover letter, resume) via our job portal.
