We are looking for a developer with functional safety background, working inside the Safety team of our Software domain. As a functional Safety Developer, you are creating safety software components for our platforms and safety solutions. The safety functionality completes our automation offer to enable the customer programming complex machines in a simplified engineering environment.

This position combines the Safety Software development for Machine Automation with upcoming technologies as IoT, Digitization, and Industry 4.0 as part of the Software System Architecture.

Your field of work:

• You develop and design software components for a safety engineering system with the focus on software in an international project execution.
• You have to analyze and understand safety marketing requirements.
• You need to understand and enhance the safety software architecture to fulfil software requirements (features, ease of use, performance, and robustness).
• Contribution to the safety development for functions or components (design, testing) with commitments on content, quality, delays, performance, and costs belongs also to your tasks.

• You will support the development team during project design, testing and system testing.

• You are involved in maintenance activities, especially on issues raised by customers, ensuring a high level of reactivity to solve them.

About you: 

• You have a Bachelor or higher Degree (technical university) in informatics or comparable.

• You bring 1-3 year experience of software design with the focus of functional safety.

• You have knowledge in core software technologies and the ability to work inside an international team.
• You are experienced with design patterns, in design & development of desktop, web, and cloud native applications.
• Beside the knowledge in Cyber Security, Threat Modelling and Secure Development, you have a certificate in programming following the safety standard.
• You also have an excellent level of English, German will be a plus.
