By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 23 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 23 positions in the program is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. You will have an individual development plan aiming at a targeted competence profile after two years and building blocks with learning goals towards that target. As part of the programme, you can look forward to assignments/rotations aimed at giving you a chance to really get into a project and deliver value.

Your role as a Sustainability & Compliance analyst in this talent programme

You will join the Sustainability team in its work to secure Vattenfall’s position as a frontrunner in sustainability. To do this, you will primarily be supporting the Sustainable Supply chain team with the assessments of suppliers, as well as putting together recommendations and training material for colleagues throughout the organization about how to incorporate sustainability in our procurement processes

Your daily activities:

  • Perform screenings and interpret audits of suppliers and partners, including making recommendations to colleagues for how to progress.
  • Support your collegueas, contractors and suppliers on sustainability and our supply chain practices by i.e. providing trainings
  • Perform research and analysis on sustainability topics like Code of Conduct for suppliers and partners, target setting, KPIs, valuation of social and environmental impacts, as well as ad hoc requests
  • Identify sustainability gaps and improvement needs, focus on supply chain related activities, and implement related actions
  • Code of conduct comparisons; analyses and recommendations of audit reports; conduct screenings on our counterparties (on sanctions, adverse media, company ownership structures and general environmental, social and governance risks);
  • Support procurement with selection and evaluation of sustainably requirements in tenders and evaluation thereof.

You will be both working operational on the above as well as on other sustainability related tasks together with other departments, for example support on topics like health & safety in the supply chain, circularity, high risk minerals and human rights.

Ihr Profil

You are our ideal candidate if you have an academic degree in e.g sustainable science/development, legal studies in e.g. human rights recently graduated. You are fluent in English. Skills in German, Dutch, Swedish and/or Chinese are a merit. You are willing to temporarily relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe. Furthermore:

  • You enjoy thinking big and outside the box, dare to seek new ideas and come up with creative solutions.
  • You possess the ability to extract, synthesize, and convey relevant, understandable insights from very complex topics including judgement calls of social aspects

You will be working in the department Sustainable Supply chain within Staff Function Sustainability and you can choose to be based in Amsterdam, Berlin or Hamburg.
