We are Thinksurance – one of the leading German InsurTechs on our way to becoming an international player. We are orchestrating our digital platform development with Go/Node.js (Express.js, NestJS) based on microservices architecture on AWS cloud. We keep our lovely data in MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis as key-value storage. Our front-ends are built as micro-frontends using TypeScript, React, and Carbon design systems. We remain open to new technologies and try to improve our DevOps workflows by automating our infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and our applications deploy and operation using GitLab CI/CD.
We are seeking an experienced, open-minded, and well-organized Junior/Mid-Level PHP/Symfony Developer to join our agile Tech team.

At Thinksurance no two days are the same! Your responsibilities will include

• Design and develop business logic and backend services for full-scale applications
• Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code for our online comparison calculators and internal tools
• Support, maintain and optimize our development and production system environments including the continuous delivery pipeline

What defines you

What you bring to the party:

• Knowledge of PHP/Symfony (1+ years professional experience)
• Experience with SQL (e.g. MySQL, Postgresql) and NoSQL (e.g. Redis)
• Experience with Docker, version control (git) and clean code
• Knowledge in DDD & SOLID principles

What would be nice to have on top:

• Knowledge in Microservice architecture
• Knowledge in Kubernetes, CI/CD, Domain-oriented microservice architecture
• Curious and self-researching about new technologies
• Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a comparable subject
• Experience in agile methodologies
