The team works remotely in Germany and meet once a month at Frankfurt.

As a Systems engineer, the solutions you design will support not only our clients’ workflows, but also a massive suite of corporate systems that keep our global enterprise up and running each and every day. We rely on the latest in big data and cloud computing, among other technologies, to solve some of ours and the investment community’s greatest challenges.

This position will be responsible for improving and supporting Linux servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and derivatives across multiple data centers and the cloud. This includes production server deployments, system maintenance, performance testing, and tool development. You’ll work closely with talented Windows, Network, and Cybersecurity engineers to ensure the availability of our enterprise applications.

  • Maintaining the overall stability and performance of Linux clusters
  • Modernizing and automating the Linux infrastructure
  • on-premise oVirt/KVM support
  • Member of 24x7 on-call rotation


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, foreign equivalent or equivalent work experience required
  • Exposure to Linux Bash
  • Experience with
    • large Linux installations and system administration
    • python
    • change management frameworks
    • oVirt/KVM virtualization
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS experience
  • An experience in administering and deploying virtual instances and physical systems in a large scale
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization such as VMware, Docker, OpenStack
  • Experience with automation software such as Puppet, CFEngine and / or Ansible
  • Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning is a plus
