In the Spread Group IT Department, you can expect exciting tasks reaching far beyond standard e-commerce solutions. Our platform is an exceptionally versatile system and poses exciting challenges to software architecture and development. Every week, about 100.000 designs are uploaded by our community of designers. They are sold through various channels on all kinds of print-on-demand products.

As part of the interdisciplinary and agile working Search & Distribution team, you will ensure that all these products can be found by our customers. No matter if they are using our on-site search or Google. In addition, we also develop software to feed search engine marketing platforms and create internal tools to curate external marketplaces like Amazon and eBay.

Our Tech Stack

• We develop with Kotlin + Spring Boot and Typescript + React
• We store in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Our on-site search is provided by a powerful ElasticSearch cluster
• We deploy to Kubernetes
• We take care of our services beyond pushing changes to Git
• Automated tests and code reviews ensure our code quality
• Kibana and Grafana are used to monitor in production
• We decide together: Your suggestions on technology, architecture, and implementation are always welcome
• Everyone has a different skill set: We like to hear and see it in our regular workshops and hackathons

Your Profile

• You got a degree in software engineering or a comparable field of study
• You have gathered at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• You find yourself in our tech stack or you are eager to learn it
• You want to deliver clean code and maintainable software
• You have experience with distributed systems
• You like the challenges of handling large and ever-growing datasets
• You want to work and learn in a professional environment closely with a team of experienced developers and product owners
• You may already have some experience in developing web user interfaces
• You have a good command of English to easily communicate with your colleagues on a daily basis
