You will have a minimum 2-3 years’ experience in:

• Network Infrastructure Design: You should have experience and expertise in designing network infrastructures, including the layout of server rooms, patch rooms, and the overall network architecture.
• Network Component Knowledge: You must have an understanding of network components such as switches, routers, patch panels, and copper/fiber optic cabling.
• Network Planning and Implementation: You should be able to plan and implement the network infrastructure based on the project requirements. This includes mounting and un-mounting network equipment and ensuring proper connectivity between server rooms and patch rooms.
• IT Infrastructure Integration: Since the project involves adapting the IT infrastructure due to changes in production areas and buildings, you must have knowledge of integrating IT systems with the overall infrastructure. This could involve coordinating with other teams or departments to ensure seamless integration.
• Industry Standards and Best Practices: You should be well-versed in industry standards and best practices for network design and network cabling. You should ensure that the network is built according to general rules of technology and complies with any specific regulations or guidelines provided by MSD.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-solving: Inevitably, issues may arise during the project, and you should have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve network-related problems. You should be able to diagnose connectivity issues and resolve them.
• Project Management: As the project involves coordinating with different teams, managing resources, and ensuring timely completion, you should possess project management skills to effectively plan, organize, and execute the network infrastructure changes.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities and meet SLA’s.
• Excellent communication, rapport building and internal customer service skills.
