Your responsibilities
The Cloud Security Engineer (m/f/d) within the global Cloud Security team is responsible for securing DocuWare’s Cloud offering. This is a central role in our global R&D department, where you will be able to work with engineers, architects and product managers to securely develop new features for our DocuWare Cloud solution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- You collaborate with engineering teams, actively participating in the secure development and deployment of cloud solutions.
- Contribution to the architecture guild is a key responsibility, ensuring the integration of robust security practices right from the project's inception.
- Ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure is a primary focus, involving the implementation, testing, and maintenance of security controls.
- Your role includes conducting security analyses on prototypes for vulnerabilities, and proposing mitigation strategies.
- You develop and automate cloud security processes.
What you need to succeed
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer, or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) and have already gained some years of experience in security.
- Your knowledge spans cloud core services, including network topologies, WAF, storage, databases, containers, messaging, logging, and monitoring.
- You possess excellent hands-on experience of assessing and securing environments, particularly in Azure.
- You are familiar with C# for performing code security reviews, and with programming languages for automation purposes, such as Powershell, Python or Go.
- You can handle multiple tasks independently and demonstrate very good problem-solving skills.
- You have a strong desire to perform and grow as a security engineer and educate other engineers.
- Communication is one of your strengths, enabling you to explain complex security issues in an understandable way. Additionally you enjoy working in an international team with modern technologies.
- You are fluent in English (German communication skills are a plus).
