Software Engineer III (m/f/d), AI/ML, Gemini Integration/Customisation

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Gemini into XR products, design and implement customization layers to enable the next-generation of immersive XR experiences powered by Gemini.
• Collaborate with research teams to highlight model limitations and improve performance in key areas critical for XR applications.
• Develop expertise on the full deployment stack, to be able to deliver a customized and premium integration of Gemini in XR devices.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, provide recurring updates on project advancements, ensuring their expectations remain aligned with ongoing research and engineering work.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in generative AI and machine learning.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Research background with practical experience solving complex research problems such as long-context models and multimodal (video/image) understanding, 3D modeling and diffusion models.
• Ideally worked with egocentric data and egocentric problems before.

Germany: 106000 - 109000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
