Air and Missile Defense Data Visualization Analyst

The Opportunity:
As a client-facing Data Visualization Analyst on our team, you’ll work closely with our Integrated Air and Missile defense customers across the joint force, planners, analysts, and mission partners to understand their questions and needs, then dig into data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deeper understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise the client on what the information means and how it can be used to improve planning, assessment, partner engagement, and senior leader decision-making. Through gaining efficiency and accuracy, this position will enable leaders within the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense community better understand and display trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities across U.S., Allied, partner nation programs and operational activities.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Use your data analytics expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships with respect to Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD).
- Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through collection, cleaning, interpretation, evaluation, integration, and analysis of operational and assessment data.
- Contribute to impactful work and guide rapid decision-making across IAMD planners, assessment analysts, operational environment analysts, and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Service components to institute common operational pictures to provide real-time data-driven information to enable customers to make rapid assessments and accelerate decision-making cycles.
- Apply communication skills and data analytics expertise by simplifying technical requirements, data trends, and analytical findings based on audience.
- Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, Maven, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R, visualization tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Apply data visualization through formats including, but not limited to Maven, dashboards, graphs, tables, trackers, maps, and PowerPoint.
- Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the Integrated Air and Missile defense enterprise in the US European Command Area of responsibility through campaign assessments, Allied and partner nation engagements, and operational planning missions.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in application development, AI and ML engineering, software engineering, or data science
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex software or machine learning applications at enterprise scale
- 1+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data to support machine learning workflows
- 1+ years of experience with building scalable data pipelines, ETL and ELT workflows, or model training and deployment pipelines
- Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment
- Ability to code and develop scalable solutions from scratch using languages such as Python or TypeScript
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, problem-solve creatively, and operate with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project teams to scale, monitor, and operate AI/ML platforms
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics and 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Palantir tools, such as Foundry
- Experience with Full-Stack application development for deploying ML models
- Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Databricks
- Experience working on real-time data, streaming applications, or AI model deployment
- Knowledge of U.S. Joint Force Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) or Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) combat systems, data architectures, Command and Control, and IAMD information concepts
