Key responsibilities:
- Define and maintain SAP target architectures, transition states, and multi-year roadmaps
- Act as architecture authority for assigned SAP products and platforms
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution designs
- Lead architecture reviews, design governance, and assurance activities
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and regulatory expectations
- Drive simplification, standardisation, interoperability, and technical debt reduction
- Support strategic programmes, investment decisions, and vendor assessments
- Guide delivery teams and stakeholders without owning day-to-day delivery management
- Maintain architecture documentation, decision records, and repository quality
What you need to succeed in the role:
- Multiple years of work experience with a focus on SAP
- Relevant experience in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Strong experience in SAP FI/CO/AA
- Strong understanding of finance processes such as: Balance Sheet and P&L, Tax determination, Asset accounting, Month-end closing
- Experience in architecture, solution design, or design authority roles
- Experience in large enterprise SAP environments
- Experience with architecture governance and standards
- Experience working with senior business and IT stakeholders
- Strong Business English and German language skills
