Job Description

The Construction Industry is going digital. Buildings will become connected, smart, intelligent, new way of construction will come – 3D-Printing, Modularization and existing buildings need to be maintained.

In this Extreme Blue project the students will work together with IBM consultants and domain experts from the construction industry to develop digital solutions based on AI and IoT technology. Your challenge will be to develop a solution based on near real time data to predict the maintenance efforts of buildings in the field of road construction, the health status of a construction, understand and analyze risks and provide recommendations. There are different data sources available like sensor data, building documentation, or anything you like to invent and add. We will provide our IoT platform, DevOps environments and everything you need to make your idea real.

We are seeking for the one solution to become the milestone in the construction sector – could be simple no one has thought about, could be complex…

On mutual interest, after the internship we offer to support writing a thesis (primarily MSc) in cooperation with us.
