About this job

As part of our Data Services team, in this position, you will be developing and improving life cycle automations for a variety of backend services such as PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, RabbitMQ. These automations include functionalities like backup & restore, encryption, data replication in HA-setups, failover mechanisms and many more.

You will be at the forefront of shaping the future, devising strategies, and introducing and mapping out new features that amplify our battle-tested product. Alongside our team, you will develop a deep understanding of the needs of customers and create impactful features and enhancements that provide extensibility options to help them further realize the power, value, and flexibility of the technology's offerings.

You will be challenged with finding modern solutions to the unique needs of our users, spearheading the development of transformative platform capabilities that enrich user experiences. With your help, we will enable our clients to continue to experience the full potential, value, and versatility of our cloud platform solution.

Your core tasks

  • Harmonize the current Service Framework with the available functionality of the offered backend services.
  • Enhance customer experience by improving the product, adding new features and satisfying multiple use cases.
  • Extend and automate available functionality from the vendored Open Source software to the product.
  • Develop solutions based on the architectural structure of the backend services.

What you can contribute

  • Experience in operating and administrating one or more of the following data services: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, OpenSearch and RabbitMQ.
  • Linux experience.
  • Basic understanding of programming paradigms.
  • Knowledge of Git.
  • Proficiency with shell scripting.
  • Completed education in the IT field.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
