Your role and responsibilities
As a Security Consultant specializing in Security Intel & Operations Consulting Services, you will help client IT and business executives understand key security intelligences and operations issues, risks, exposures, and vulnerabilities. You will articulate IBM's Security Intelligence and Operations Center (SIOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) points of view, including financial perspectives. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Deliver Security Consulting Services: Provide consulting services to understand clients' Security Intelligence and Operations security requirements and design Security Intelligence and Operations solutions, applying security principles, counter-threat intelligence, and knowledge of security intelligence and operations.
Develop Security Strategies: Define business drivers and develop associated security strategy, programs, plans, and recommendations for clients.
Build Practice Expertise: Demonstrate thought leadership and broaden the expertise of the team by coaching and training, contributing to the growth of the practice.
Design Security Solutions: Apply security principles and knowledge of security intelligence and operations to design effective Security Intelligence and Operations solutions for clients.

Required technical and professional expertise
Exposure to Security Intelligence: Familiarity with security intelligence and operations concepts, including security principles, counter-threat intelligence, and security intelligence and operations frameworks.
Understanding of Security Consulting: Experience working with clients to understand their security requirements and design security solutions, applying security principles and knowledge of security intelligence and operations.
Knowledge of SIOC and SIEM: Familiarity with IBM's Security Intelligence and Operations Center (SIOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) points of view, including financial perspectives.
Experience with Security Strategy Development: Exposure to defining business drivers and developing associated security strategy, programs, plans, and recommendations for clients.
Application of Security Principles: Ability to apply security principles and knowledge of security intelligence and operations to design effective Security Intelligence and Operations solutions for clients.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Counter-Threat Intelligence Knowledge: Exposure to counter-threat intelligence concepts and their application in security intelligence and operations.
Familiarity with threat analysis and mitigation strategies.
Financial Perspective Understanding: Experience working with financial perspectives related to security intelligence and operations, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculations.
Security Frameworks Familiarity: Exposure to various security frameworks and standards, such as NIST or ISO 27001, and their application in security intelligence and operations.
